My name is Bruce Hill, and I write Cliqpreneur to bring clarity to people starting their internet marketing business.

I’ve been a serial entrepreneur since college but got hooked on being self-employed when I daytraded full-time for 5 years. However, trading is extremely unpredictable, and the challenges of the post-dot-com market and the responsibilities of family forced me to turn my entrepreneurial sights elsewhere.

I had several criteria for my new venture:

• Home-based
• Involve the internet
• Have income that is residual
• Start the business part-time; transitioning to full-time
• Minimal investment
• Low risk
• Be able to have a positive impact on others

After investigating my options extensively, it was clear that affiliate marketing fit all of my criteria.

My initial reading and research left me hopeful, but overwhelmed and confused. There is a tremendous amount of information on affiliate marketing, both good and bad. How was someone supposed to sift through it all?

It was at that point that I decided what to do. Most new affiliate marketers need peers to help them along. Someone who knows exactly what they are going through and can help guide the way. My goal is to go through all the steps and share them with everyone here. Hopefully, others can learn from my successes and failures and be profitable sooner.
